Make Super Crispy Triple-dipped Broasted Chicken at Home
Ingredients
- 1 Whole chicken/chicken drumsticks and thighs
- 1/4 Cup buttermilk
- 1 Tsp Black pepper powder
- salt to taste
- 6 minced garlic cloves
- For Coating
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cornflour
- 2 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp mixed herbs or Italian seasoning
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- oil as needed
- salt to taste
- Tripple Dipped Broasted Chicken
Instructions
- Blend together buttermilk, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt in a bowl. You may marinate the chicken by covering it with the marinade and a plastic bag. Make sure to let this marinade at least 12 hours to soak in.
- Combine the several types of flour, cornstarch, spices, herbs, and salt in a bowl and stir until everything is evenly distributed. Whisk the egg and water together in a separate bowl. Put some panko crumbs in a bowl and season them with with salt and mixed herbs.
- Coat the chicken that has been marinated in flour, then in the beaten egg, and lastly in the panko crumbs. Toss the chicken with the coating and place it gently in the cooker. Turn the pressure cooker on high and cook for 1-2 whistles.
- Turn off the heat after the second whistle and let the cooker alone for 5 minutes. When the timer goes off, use a spoon to carefully open the pressure cooker cover. For a crispier exterior, turn the heat back on and continue frying the chicken for another 8-10 minutes. When the chicken is done cooking, place it on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up any remaining oil.
- Spruce up the chicken by adding some spicy sauce. Along with mac and cheese, fries, or mashed potatoes, serve hot with mayo-dip and ketchup.

What is meant by broasted chicken?
Chicken for a roast is cooked in oil. However, it is essentially fried in a pressure cooker. Pressure fryers, in the broadest sense, are appliances that can both deep-fry food and pressure-cook it. Yet more than just a pressure fryer is needed for True Broaster Chicken.
What’s the difference between fried chicken and broasted chicken?
Broasting chicken is similar to frying in that both methods use oil, but it takes specialized equipment to achieve the desired results. It takes a few more steps to broil than fry. The chicken at Boss’ Pizza & Chicken is marinated and seasoned until it’s just right. Now we’ll roll it in our signature batter and set it aside.

Ingredients
- 1 KG Chicken cut it into eight pieces
- 2½ Cups All-purpose flour
- ½ tbsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tbsp Red chili powder
- 1 egg white portion
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic powder or paste
- 1 tbsp black pepper powder
- 1 litre buttermilk
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp ground all spices optional
Instructions
- Chicken breasts and thighs should be washed in fresh water and then drained.
- Dip chicken in buttermilk and store in the fridge. Marinate for four to eight hours in the fridge, covered.
- Once the chicken has been marinated in the fridge, take it out and drain.
- Toss the chicken with the seasonings and combine well.
- In a shallow saucepan, combine all-purpose flour and an egg and whisk to combine.
- Coat chicken with egg white, then breadcrumbs or flour.
- Oil should be heated to 360 degrees Fahrenheit in a pressure cooker or Broiler pot. Prepare the sauce by dipping chicken pieces in it and sealing the pot. Take it out after 8 to 10 minutes.

Why is it called broasted chicken?
History. In 1954, American businessman and inventor L.A.M. Phelan came up with the Broasting method to speed up the cooking of chicken by combining elements of a deep fryer and a pressure cooker. Phelan registered the trademarks “broaster” and “broasted food” for his invention.
Is KFC chicken broasted or fried?
KFC (previously known as Kentucky Fried Chicken) and Chick-Fil-A are just two of the many prominent food service franchises that employ pressure frying. But since the phrase “roasted” is trademarked by Broaster Company, many businesses avoid using it.

- I fryer chicken cut into pieces
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 6 tbsps Hot sauce adjust to your desired flavor
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic smashed and mashed
- 3 cups flour
- 2 -3 tbsp cayene pepper
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups panko
- oil - canola or safflower
Instructions
- Mix buttermilk, spicy sauce, salt, pepper, and crushed garlic with chicken pieces. Buttermilk should be incorporated into the chicken pieces. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill for at least an hour and up to 24 hours. (I skinned the chicken breasts but left the skin on the smaller pieces.)
- Take the chicken out of the buttermilk and marinate, but don't dry it. In a shallow dish, toss the chicken in the flour seasoned with the cayenne, salt, and pepper; transfer to a separate plate and sprinkle with the panko; use your hands to press the panko firmly into the chicken.
- Chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of between 140 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit after being fried in oil heated to between 300 and 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes without turning before being transferred to a paper towel to drain excess oil and then baked for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. If your body temperature is at 160 degrees, you may relax and have fun!

Is pressure fried chicken healthy?

Instructions
- Combine the chicken with the vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Put the flour and the other ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Don't bother with right now.
- Whisk together the egg, salt, and water.
- First, flour the chicken, then dip it in egg, and then coat it with flour. Make sure it's well-protected throughout transport.
- Put on a platter and let for 5 minutes to dry.
- Pressure-Cooker Chicken Frying Instructions
- Oil should be heated in a pressure cooker. Don't use too much oil in your pressure cooker. Fry the chicken for 30–45 seconds in a pressure cooker with oil that's filled less than halfway.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes with the lid on and the pressure at its highest.
- Put out the fire and let it rest for five to seven minutes.
- Now, slowly and gently, remove the spoon's weight from the whistle to relieve the pressure.

- Start by preheating the oil in a dutch oven or other heavy-bottomed pot. Don't put too much oil into the pan. Do not overfill the oil.
- Prepare chicken by dropping pieces into hot oil and frying for 2 minutes.

- milk 1 table spoon
Instructions
- After washing and cutting the skin into pieces, you may use or discard it as you see fit.
- Mix in some salt and pepper powder and stir to combine.
- Put the powders, salt, and ginger-garlic paste on a dish and stir to combine.
- The next step is to take a piece of chicken and coat it in the flour mixture.
- Then, do the same with the remaining chicken.
- Hold on to the plate
- Put the egg and milk in a bowl and whisk them together.
- Toss the breaded chicken into the egg mixture and stir to combine.
- Then, thoroughly combine the remaining flour with the chicken.
- Just as before, do the same with the remaining chicken.
- Put some oil in a hot pressure cooker.
- The chicken pieces with the marinade should be added to the oil.
- The pressure cooker should be sealed and allowed to whistle twice before opening.
- Turn off the heat, wait 5 minutes, and then release the pressure.
- Then we drain the chicken pieces by placing them in a basin with sieves or holes.

Can you pressure fry at home?
Normal pressure cookers CANNOT be used for frying under pressure. Oil temperatures are too high for the rubber seals, thus you shouldn’t use it with hot oil. To properly pressure fry food, you’ll need a special appliance that has been approved for that purpose. Commercial ones are huge and costly, while home versions are few and difficult to operate.
What temperature is broasted chicken cooked at?
It’s okay to cut into the chicken to check the temperature; the flesh should register at least 165 degrees.
