Prep Time 10 mins
Cook Time 15 mins
Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 Potatoes Aloo , boiled and peeled
  • 200 grams Chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Cheese grated
  • 1/2 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 2 sprig Coriander Dhania Leaves
  • 1/3 cup Whole Wheat Bread crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • To coat the Pattice
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 1/4 cup Sooji Semolina/ Rava
  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Bread crumbs

Instructions

  • First, we'll par boil the chicken for the Russian Pattice Recipe.
  • Prepare the chicken breasts by bringing a saucepan of water to a rapid boil over high heat; once the water is boiling, add the chicken and cook for three to five minutes.
  • After the chicken has finished cooking, remove it from the heat, let the excess water drain, and shred the meat.
  • Put in a bowl and set aside. Chicken, mashed potatoes, cheese, garlic, ginger, green chilies, coriander leaves, bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, and garam masala powder should all be combined in a bowl and stirred until well combined.
  • To ensure that everyone gets an equal serving of Russian pattice, divide the mixture into halves. Flatten each piece into a disc shape by rolling it in your palms.
  • Prepare a kadai by heating oil in it over moderate heat.
  • You can alternatively shallow fried it if that's more your style.
  • Separate the egg and whisk it thoroughly in a small bowl. Combine the rava and bread crumbs in a separate bowl and leave aside.
  • Wrap each pattice in the rava-bread crumb mixture that has been dipped in egg.
  • Fry the Russian pattice in heated oil until it is a beautiful golden color.
  • Polish pies are served hot.
  • Serve Russian Pattice with Green Chutney or Tomato Ketchup as a tea time snack or with a Parsi supper.

Can I use milk instead of eggs to bread chicken?

Many people use milk as a binder for breading without eggs. This method of binding does not work very well, but it is preferable to doing nothing. Milk can be used to coat the meat before adding bread crumbs or batter.

What’s the best way to bread chicken?

Coat each piece of chicken breast with flour and remove any excess. Then, pass the chicken breast through the egg to lightly coat it, and let any excess drip back into the bowl. At last, place the chicken in the bread crumbs, flip it over, and press it down firmly to adhere the crumbs to the chicken.

5.EASY Russian Chicken

EASY Russian Chicken

Prep Time 10 mins
Cook Time 50 mins
Servings 6 people

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts about 2 1/2 pounds
  • 1/4-1/2 sweet white onion
  • 1 8 ounce jar Russian Dressing
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 C brown sugar

Instructions

  • Start by setting your oven temperature to 400 degrees.
  • Apply cooking spray to a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Place in the pan the halves of four chicken breasts. By slicing them, you can speed up the cooking process. Thinly slice a sweet white onion, about a quarter to half of a whole onion. Just make sure the strips aren't too thick. They'll be able to whip up meals much quicker with its aid.
  • Set the onion rings on top of the chicken.
  • To make Russian dressing, combine 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper with one (8-ounce) container of Russian dressing. Before pouring it over the chicken and onions, give it a good stir to make sure everything is properly combined.
  • Add a quarter cup of brown sugar to the dressing.
  • Put the pan into the oven and cover it securely with aluminum foil.
  • Put in the oven and set the timer for 30 minutes. Carefully discard the foil, and serve atop each chicken breast a generous helping of the vibrant orange sauce.
  • To ensure the chicken is cooked through and the onions are soft, continue baking, uncovered, for 20 minutes longer.
  • Take the pan out of the oven and cover it tightly with foil. Let it set for about 5 minutes. This will ensure that it retains all of its delicious moisture.
  • Toss with rice. Enjoy!
